By making a purchase with Detroit Dahlias, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: 

Ready to Ship & Spring Ship Presale Orders must be placed separately as they necessitate two separate shipping charges. 

FALL SHIPPING Tubers sold during the fall sale will be shipped immediately. The customer assumes all risk for fall shipped dahlia tubers. The customer will solely be responsible for frozen or improperly stored tubers.

Please inspect the tubers within 48 hours of receiving them and ensure that they are to your satisfaction. Detroit Dahlias does not guarantee them past that time.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU Our cuttings and tubers are all grown at our homestead and orchard in Metro Detroit. We will never offer tubers grown by anyone else and we will never import Dahlia tubers for resale.  

ARRIVE ALIVE GUARANTEE We guarantee that our dahlia tubers, rooted dahlia cuttings, plants, and seeds will grow and will be true to variety name. Your happiness is important to us! We guarantee your dahlia tubers will be true to our photo and arrive in the mail with at least one visible eye, and a healthy tuber body. 

This guarantee is limited to the purchase price only, and does not include shipping fees or liability or damages from losses resulting from crop failure. Resale of products originally purchased from Detroit Dahlias voids any and all guarantees on the product.

Please plant your dahlias after your USDA growing zone's last frost date, and follow the detailed growing instructions we include with your shipment. Please note: Detroit Dahlias is not responsible for inclement weather,  poor growing conditions, pest damage, plant performance, or negligence. Please inspect your tubers and cuttings upon arrival and contact us within 48 hours of your order arriving if you have any concerns. Once the 48 hours have passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers and cuttings. 

VIRUS POLICY Detroit Dahlias follows American Dahlia Society recommendations. Our farm and dahlias are inspected by the Michigan Department of Agricultural and Rural Development. Tools are always properly sterilized when cutting stems and dividing dahlia clumps. We aggressively cull our dahlia field of any suspicious plants during the growing season and are vigilant in our inspections. Industry studies have shown that 80% or more dahlias carry at least one virus. By purchasing our tubers or cuttings, you are accepting the possibility of virus, in spite of best practices. Dahlias showing signs of virus will not be refunded.

SHIPPING We are unable to combine shipping and reduce charges on individual orders or on orders from different sales.

LIMITED AVAILABILITY Unfortunately, our store is not like Ticket Master, Items placed in your cart are not guaranteed or reserved until you have checked out. You can be sure your order was successful once you have received a confirmation email. If you did not receive a confirmation email and order number, please check your order history before contacting us. 

CANCELLATION Customers may cancel orders up to one week before requested ship date. Please email us at hello@detroitdahlias.com to request cancellation. Orders will be refunded in the form of store credit, less a 20% restocking fee.

ORDERS Detroit Dahlias does not accept orders in person, through the mail, or by telephone. Orders must be placed through our online store at www.detroitdahlias.com.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL Detroit Dahlias reserves the right to refuse service to any customer at any time.
